Santa Monica, a Lifelong Learning Community

Lifelong Learning Community News - JUNE 2007...

This monthly newsletter is part of my personal effort to bring our community together around the issue of supporting lifelong learning and creating a model lifelong learning community.

It's been ten years since we began conceiving of Santa Monica as a Lifelong Learning Community. Please see www.smllc.org for the community's Vision Statement and http://smllc.org/lllc_background.html for my 1997 Call to Action. And we've come a long way. (We also have a long way yet to go but I'll send you my thoughts on that in a future email.)

Following are announcements for some lifelong learning community news and upcoming events that emphasize the role and success of our entire community in providing learning opportunities.
